Adaptec Driver. SCSI Legacy drivers are loaded in the config,sys file with this line DEVICE =C \[driver directory location]\[driver name]. A typical SCSI configuration call in the config.sys will load at boot (startup) of you have entered it correctly and momentarily pause on the screen identifying itself. This method is better than allowing windows to seek the device since if the system crashes because you will not be able to access your CSI device to reinstall windows unless the computer can "see" it BEFORE windows is loaded.
