OPTi Viper Max 82C566 82C567 82C568 Driver. AT LAST ! OPTi Viper Max Dual PCI IDE Controller drivers for Windows 95 and Windows 98 provided by IBM. Supports Dual Fifo controllers and install instructions.

Follow readme and (in Win95 at least) if asked, select choose from driver list, got to OPTi and chose Dual Channel IDE. WARNING, DO NOT CHOOSE THE DEFAULT standard IDE...it's not the one you want. Manually choose OPTi. If it gets screwed up go to the System ICON in control panel to the Device manager and remove the PCI IDE Controller, reboot and try again.

This works great with a Compaq Presario 1245 laptop I tool Win98 off of and put Win95 (faster on this slow pile) on.

Installation may be easier with Win98.
